  • How can a record be so close to great, yet a near-complete miss? What a pity! The beats, they are pounding in a subterranean way. The Acid lines, they are growling divinely. Some analog noises, they are simply too insane to be human-made. But then, just about every track has an annoying point. A very, very annoying point that files each of them in the would-rather-not-play-it-after-all category. Two have a horrible, recurrent vocal gimmick that sort of gabberise otherwise very fine tracks (a very similar track to A1 is present on Analog 5 without the vocals and it is by far superior), two have grotesque carnival basslines ruining otherwise promising, furious pieces, one is an inferior, but still good rehash of CV/MIDI Conversion that lasts less than two minutes and the last one is a short piece of beatless, hallucinated soundscapes. Unfortunately, despite the extraordinary elements on display, that last one is the best of the lot.
