It took the British guitar group Elbow ten years to the debut album Asleep In The Back (2001). Fortunately for the fans they had less time for the successor. The debut was the result of years of planing, this time the songs were finished off while they were recorded. According to the biography made for the necessary tension, which the music from Elbow just conveniently works. The band aims not to easy pop songs but is looking for a dark atmosphere and exciting soundscapes. Elbow, there is also this time well managed to find a balance between adventure packages and a fairly traditional guitar sound. So are the guitar eruptions occasionally (Switching Off, I've Got Your Number) inexorably but the sweet vocals of Guy Garvey stroke the rough edges smooth again soon. The result is an entertaining, dreamy pop CD, with the occasional welcome viciously edge to the listener with the lesson.
