1972 Sees the 22nd year of The Edinburgh Military Tattoo-a tattoo which over the years has been seen by people from all parts of the world. There is no doubt that the Tattoo has established itself as the most popular single attraction during the Edinburgh International Festival. The splendour and pomp of the spectacle can only be experienced by being one of the seven thousand spectators who fill the Castle Esplanade nightly, but this recording can help to recreate the excitement of the occasion.
